The transfer window may have shut in England prior to the weekend, but that hasn’t stopped a host of top-flight stars – including Mohamed Salah – from being linked to Saudi Arabia
A record breaking summer transfer window is officially done and dusted – but the drama is set to continue for another week.
A whopping £2.36 billion was spent in the Premier League during the summer window with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all splashing the cash to revamp their teams.
But the transfer window remains open in other countries; most notable in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Pro League has already lured plenty of high-profile names to the Middle East, and Mo Salah is their latest target. Al-Ittihad saw a £150 million offer turned down on deadline day but are expected to return with an improved offer imminently.
Elsewhere, Jadon Sancho could come into the fold after publicly hitting out at Erik ten Hag following Sunday’s defeat at Arsenal, whilst speculation over the Glazers intention – or lack of – to sell the club continues to rumble on.
