Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Harry Kane has reached a conclusion at long last, while there’s also plenty of fall-out from the record-breaking battle for Moises Caicedo
The summer transfer window’s longest running saga reached its conclusion on Saturday with Bayern Munich completing a move for Harry Kane.
The two clubs agreed a £100m deal for the striker, who has now put pen to paper on four-year deal at the Allianz Arena. Kane has already made his debut, coming off the bench against RB Leipzig in the DFB Supercup, but it wasn’t a dream debut with Bayern losing to their rivals.
On the other side of the capital, Chelsea look set to win the battle for Moises Caicedo despite Liverpool’s hopes. The fee for the Brighton star is expected to be a Premier League record, more than the Blues paid for Enzo Fernandez in January.
Chelsea have also turned their attention to Romeo Lavia, who is a significantly cheaper alternative. Manchester United meanwhile continue to consider notable exits with Harry Maguire set to join West Ham and Fred completing a switch to Fenerbahce.
