Forensic officers were pictured carrying out investigations at the scene. Detectives now want to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has any information about the incident. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Greater Manchester Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating an incident on Booth Road in Altrincham. At around 5am this morning (12 August 2023) an 18-year-old man was found in the road with serious injuries and despite best efforts of emergency services he tragically passed away at the scene. "A cordon has been implemented and officers are working at pace to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death and are following up multiple lines of inquiry. "Anyone with relevant information or footage - including CCTV, mobile or dashcam - is encouraged to get in touch.
