Salcombe in Devon has received some backlash from unhappy visitors having earned a reputation as one of the most luxurious and best loved seaside towns in the country
A largely beloved seaside town that is hugely popular with tourists has rubbed some unhappy visitors up the wrong way.
In recent years the sunny coastal destination of Salcombe has become a haven for well heeled holidaymakers looking for somewhere rural but glitzy to stay.
It has earned a reputation as the second-home capital of the country due to the many Londoners choosing it as the right spot for a coastal retreat, Devon Live reported.
With a long sweeping, sandy bay which sits in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty next to a dense canopy of trees, it is easy to see why it has become so popular.
