Tottenham ripped apart as Daniel Levy ‘eyes Kylian Mbappe transfer move’

Kylian Mbappe is being linked to Tottenham (Image: GETTY) Silly season appears well underway now following Kylian Mbappe ‘s exile from Paris Saint-Germain’s pre-season tour of Japan with Tottenham one of the clubs reportedly interested in the generational talent. But the dubious reports don’t appear to have fooled most Tottenham fans, who took to social media to brush off any suggestion the French striker would move to north London. Mbappe still has one year left on his PSG contract and the Ligue 1 side will almost certainly not entertain losing the striker for a bargain deal. Tottenham themselves have proven to be shrewd negotiators under Daniel Levy over the past few years with the Spurs chairman unable to match the spending powers of their European rivals. Despite that, Spanish outlet Marca claim Tottenham are among a handful of clubs expressing an interest in signing Mbappe. It’s suggested that Levy’s close working relationship with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi could help negotiations. However, Tottenham fans are unconvinced of the idea that Levy will be able to cobble something together to sign one of the world’s best players. @MarkTHFC7 tweeted: “Levy is going to offer Rodon, Tanganga and free tickets to Wizkid for Mbappe…” Kylian Mbappe faces an uncertain future in France (Image: Getty) @_TobyJones06 wrote: “Levy signing Mbappe for Kane + Dier + £20 and a pack of crisps.” @rorynagle21 joked: “I can imagine that Levy rocking up to PSG offering £35m + Skipp for Mbappe. It could work?” Most simply reacted to the transfer news with laughing emojis and plenty of memes mocking Tottenham’s supposed interest in Mbappe. An old video of Mbappe being asked about the prospect of joining Tottenham was also unearthed, where he was quick to reject the idea of a move to the north London club.
