The Hammers and boss David Moyes had the last laugh, however, with Gianluca Scamacca scoring a 78th minute winner. And there were evidently a couple of things on most Spurs' fans minds at the full time whistle. Firstly, the first look at Postecoglou's style seemed to impress. Spurs had a huge 31 shots during the game, compared to West Ham's five. And that leads into the second thing Spurs fans were all talking about - improvement in defence. One fan commented: "Result is irrelevant. That is the best I've seen Spurs perform in a long time. "Give Ange one, just one, world class centre back and we will win a trophy 100 per-cent."
