Hate crime offences rocketed from 3,293 in the Yorkshire and Humber region in 2012/13 to 17,411 in 2021/22 â a five-fold increase.
Racially motivated hate crime in the region also rose from 2,757 in 2012/13 to 12,018 in 2021/22.
