In December, a jury in LA found the Say It rapper guilty of three felonies after the WAP musician was shot in both feet. The 28-year-old accused her former pal, 30, of being behind her injuries after she left a party in July, 2020. She was left wounded after the shooting and needed to undergo surgery to remove bullet fragments from her feet. Lanez was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in an SUV and pleaded not guilty to an assault charge. He chose not to take the stand during the trial. Peterson was due to be sentenced earlier this year, following several delays, but the hearing was pushed back when his attorneys filed a motion for a new trial – a move that the judge denied last month. The trial took place at the end of last year, more than two years after the incident occurred. Appearing in court, the Savage rapper – real name Megan Pete – became emotional as she recalled the shooting, telling the jury that she wished she hadn't survived her ordeal. She also slammed the reaction of many in the music industry, and the focus on her personal life instead of her injuries.
