THE top films Brits think are best viewed on the big screen are Titanic, Jurassic Park and Avatar.
Research of 2,000 adults revealed recent releases such as Top Gun: Maverick and Jurassic World were also deemed essential viewing at the cinema, completing the top five of the 50 films in the list.
Big-budget fantasy scored well in the survey, with entries from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars and Harry Potter sagas all featuring in the top 10.
Other films featured in the top 50 list include Jaws, Dunkirk and Independence Day.
It also emerged 56 per cent feel more immersed and connected to a blockbuster film if they watch it at the cinema.
