Some of the most successful managers in world football are paid their weight in gold but there are some surprise names at the very top of the list after a few lucrative moves this summer
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone remains as the best paid manager in world football despite a few lucrative moves this summer.
The Argentine has enjoyed plenty of success in the Spanish capital since taking the reins in 2011. He has overseen a huge total of 627 matches in all competitions, winning two LaLiga crowns, the Copa del Rey, two Europa League crowns and has managed to reach two Champions League finals.
Club bosses at the Wanda Metropolitano awarded him with a lucrative contract until the summer of 2024. According to The Sun, that deal sees him pocket around £30m per year, which works out at around £2.5m per month and just a touch more than £600,000 per week.
That wage sees him easily beat Premier League pair Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. The former has won a whole host of major trophies, as well as last season’s historic treble, during his time at Manchester City.
