Tom Brady’s son wants to play in NFL and couldn’t resist a joke at the icon’s expense

The seven-time Super Bowl champion has admitted that his son wants to play in the NFL, but would prefer to be more like former New England Patriot’s icon Rob Gronkowski.

NFL icon Tom Brady has revealed that his son, Benjamin wants to follow in his footsteps; but would rather become a “tight end like Gronk [Rob Gronkowsk]” than a quarterback like his father.

Brady spent 22 years in the NFL, winning seven Super Bowls and countless individual accolades on the way as arguably the greatest quarterback of all time. The 46-year-old’s most success came during his 19 years at the New England Patriots, where he won six Super Bowls.

Brady was joined by tight end Rob Gronkowski for eight years at the franchise, where the pair formed a formidable partnership. And his son would rather follow in Gronk’s footsteps by starting his football career as a tight end.

In total, Brady and Gronkowski won four Super Bowls together, three at the Patriots and one with Tampa Bay Buccaneers towards the end of their careers. The duo also won an impressive 78 percent of games while playing on the same team – 110 wins in 141 games.
