Tom Brady snubbed Josh McDaniels in argument as Las Vegas head coach faces sack

McDaniels spent 11 years as Brady’s offensive coordinator across two spells with the New England Patriots before moving on to the Las Vegas Raiders this summer, with things getting off to a difficult start

Tom Brady and former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had many happy years together with the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowl’s in the process and being integral pieces to the greatest dynasty in NFL history.

In that period, teams have attempted to tempt McDaniels away from the Patriots, and they’ve twice done so successfully. In 2009, McDaniels joined the Denver Broncos as head coach, where he would largely struggle. With Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow at quarterback, McDaniels would not find a worthy quarterback for his offensive scheme, and would go 11-17 in his 18 months in charge before being fired.

One year at the St. Louis Rams would follow, before he was re-hired as the Patriots offensive coordinator, winning three more Super Bowl’s alongside Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, and being regarded as one of the great play-callers in the league.

After 2017 though, following a Super Bowl loss to the Philadlephia Eagles, McDaniels agreed to take the Indianapolis Colts head coaching job. Many had assumed that a much-publicised fall out between Brady and McDaniels, which was caught on camera, may have had a role to play with Brady snubbing and raging at his offensive playcaller.
