 A toddler was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by a dog. The boy was in his back garden in the city of Ballarat in Victoria, Australia when the dog bit him at 4.40pm local time (7.40am UK time) today. An air ambulance landed in a nearby playground, before airlifting the child to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, the Mail Online reports. He is said to be in a stable condition with serious lower body injuries. The local council, who are investigating the mauling, seized two dogs. It's not known what breed they are. The dogs are thought to be owned by a neighbour of the boy. Meanwhile, West Midlands Police are investigating after three people were bitten by an XL Bully dog in Birmingham.
