Chelsea have struggled to record consecutive wins since Todd Boehly’s consortium bought the club in May 2022 – with new manager Mauricio Pochettino already under pressure
Roy Keane believes the ‘chaos’ at Chelsea is not helping boss Mauricio Pochettino following a wave a new signings.
The Blues have been the biggest spenders in Europe since Todd Boehly’s consortium completed a takeover in May 2022. They’ve spent more than £1billion on fresh talent – bringing in 33 players – but that investment hasn’t delivered success on the pitch.
Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League last season – recording their lowest finish since 1994 – and have made a slow start this time around. They’ve won just one league game under new manager Pochettino, who is already feeling the heat.
Yet Keane has sympathised with Pochettino. The Manchester United legend thinks it’ll take time for all of Chelsea’s new recruits to settle at Stamford Bridge, while Jamie Carragher believes the Blues will struggle again this season due to their lack of patience.
