TikTok asked if Russell Brand cashing in on video denying sexual assault allegations

The Commons Culture Committee has written to TikTok to question if Russell Brand is making money from a video in which he denies rape and sexual assault allegations

TikTok faces questions about whether Russell Brand is cashing in on a video in which he denies allegations of rape and sexual assault.

Dame Caroline Dinenage, the chair of the Commons Culture Committee, has written to the platform to demand answers.

The comedian has 2.3million followers on TikTok. His posts include video from Friday when he denied the claims against him which were published the following day.

The Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches have published allegations of rape, sexual assault and abuse against Brand, 48, between 2006 and 2013, when he was at the height of his fame. He has denied the accusations.
