Officials with the Utah State Parks Division said the accident occurred just before 4:45 p.m. at Echo State Park, a reservoir about 25 miles northeast of Park City.
A three-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a propeller at a Utah reservoir on Sunday afternoon.
Walter Greer, of Salt Lake City, had been riding in a boat with his family when he fell off and was struck by the boat’s propeller.
Officials said the toddler was pronounced dead at the scene, and confirmed he was wearing a lifejacket.
In a statement, Utah State Parks Division said: “Walter Greer, a three-year-old from Salt Lake City, was riding a boat with family members when he fell from the vessel. After falling in, Greer was then struck by the propeller at the rear of the boat.
