Covid-19 cases are continuing to rise across the United States and one top New York doctor has revealed three symptoms people should look out for in the coming months
A top US doctor has revealed there are three Covid symptoms people must watch out for as cases continue to rise across the country.
Latest data shows the number of people being hospitalised and the number of deaths being recorded as a result of the virus has increased dramatically in the last few weeks. According to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the week ending September 9 saw 20,500 people hospitalised with Covid, double the number of patients admitted at the start of August.
While new Covid variant Pirola could be the reason for the increased number of cases, one top New York doctor has insisted those who test positive are showing “really mild symptoms”. In fact, it’s said that in some cases it is tricky to tell the virus apart from a common cold or allergies.
“The only way that we knew that it was Covid was because we happened to be testing them,” Dr. Erick Eiting, who is vice chair of operations for emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Downtown, told NBC News. The healthcare professional added that current symptoms mostly include congestion, some sneezing and a mild sore throat, reports New York Post.
