 Three people were injured after a small plane crash landed in a residential neighborhood in Massachusetts. The plane touched down in a wooded area in the small town of Stow, located about 20 miles outside of Boston. First responders rushed to the scene around 1.00pm on Sunday. The plane, a small single-engine Cessna 182, took off from Minute Man Airfield in Stow. It carried only three passengers. The plane went down shortly after taking off, without ever leaving the boundaries of the Boston suburb. The Cessna landed upside-down on its roof in a wooded area between houses, the Stow Fire Department said in a news release. Photos from the scene show the plane narrowly missed a children's backyard playground and swing set. Neighbors in Stow rushed to the crash site to help the victims, as well as additional firefighters and police from the neighboring towns of Boxborough and Maynard. 'The man who was in there was talking to me, and I could see he was in a tough spot and he said he was having trouble breathing,' one homeowner told NBC 10 Boston. Miraculously, all three occupants survived the crash. They were transported by ambulance back to Minute Man Air Field, then by medevac helicopter to trauma centers at UMass Memorial Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear what caused the plane to go down so quickly after takeoff. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed it is investigating the cause of the crash. A similar plane crash took place on Sunday in Georgetown, Texas when a small plane went down around noon due to engine failure. Photos from the scene show the aircraft lodged on the rooftops of suburban homes in central Texas. All three occupants of the plain managed to walk away from the crash site.
