Thomas Tuchel speaks out on Bayern Munich beating competition for Harry Kane

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Thomas Tuchel says ‘everybody wanted’ Harry Kane and it is a ‘huge deal’ that Bayern Munich managed to sign him from Tottenham this summer.

The 30-year-old joined the German giants for an initial fee of £86m late in the summer transfer window, ending his career-long stay with Spurs.

It has been a predictably fruitful start to life in the Bundesliga for Kane, scoring four goals in his opening four games, and now Bayern begin their Champions League campaign against Manchester United on Wednesday night.

Speaking ahead of that huge clash, Bayern boss Tuchel was asked if it was surprising that the likes of Manchester United did not make a firmer move for Kane when he was obviously available for transfer as he ended up moving.
