This Morning is planning on putting Holly Willoughby at the centre of the ITV show following Phillip Schofield’s affair scandal, which rocked the programme earlier this year
Holly Willoughby will be at the heart of This Morning when she returns after her summer break as ITV look to build the flagship show around the presenter following her former co-star’s scandal.
The 42-year-old is reported to be ready to sign a new deal with the broadcaster that could see her salary boosted significantly from £700,000 to closer to £1million.
A source has claimed This Morning bosses won’t be looking to replace Phillip Schofield but will instead plan the show around Holly as “queen bee”.
“The idea of finding the next Phil to sit next to Holly has been disregarded by This Morning’s bosses. It Will essentially be Holly’s show. It will be Holly along with whichever rotating presenter is selected to join her. Bosses hope that they can put all of the Schofield scandal behind them and start concentrating on the content of the show rather than the twosome presenting,” a source shared.
