THE Voice UK’s latest winner has expressed her desire to return to her old profession despite only just winning the singing contest.
Anthonia Edwards, 25, was coached by Sir Tom Jones on the ITV singing programme and was crowned champion during Saturday night’s final securing a life-changing record contract.
However despite proving triumphant, Anthonia opened up about the love of her old profession and told the PA news agency she was keen to stick with that line of work despite her new found fame.
Anthonia was a student nurse when she applied for the show and admitted she did not foresee what was to come.
In a candid chat, she said: “I was a student nurse at the time when I applied and obviously we had just come off the back of Covid and how tense it was and I knew I was about to graduate so I wanted to do something different just before I go into my nursing career.
