NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
The news fans of The Sandman have been waiting for has finally been confirmed, with the Netflix series officially confirmed for season 2.
Following the show’s initial launch in August this year, Neil Gaiman – who penned the DC comic book series on which the tale is based – confirmed the TV adaptation will be back for more episodes.
In a tweet, he wrote: ‘The rumours are true. Netflix is thrilled that so many of you have been watching Sandman, and the thing we were all hoping would happen… has indeed happened…’
Speaking further about what the future holds for The Sandman, Neil teased exciting narratives ahead for Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), Lucifer, the ruler of Hell (Gwendoline Christie) and plenty more characters – some of whom we’ve already met, and others who we will come across for the first time.
