The UK isn’t short on long and winding roads that offer fantastic views, wherever you are in the country.
The likes of Snake Pass in the Peak District cut through the Pennines with its mix of sharp bends and blind summits – definitely not for the less intrepid driver. Cheddar George in Somerset takes you along 14 miles of stunning countryside views with plenty of steep curves and imposing cliffs throughout.
Outside of England, Moffat Loop in Scotland’s Dumfries and Galloway provides plenty of scenic Highland vistas through its steep valleys. While in Wales, there are a number of popular coastal drives in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
But there is one far less well-known stretch of Welsh road where the views are stunning and you can make it as short or as long a drive as you like, reports WalesOnline. The stretch starts in the small village of Garnlydan at the very north of Blaenau Gwent, not far from Tredegar.
