NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
A TV show has been honoured with two Emmy Award nominations but is – literally – nowhere to be seen.
The nominees for the prestigious television gongs were unveiled on Wednesday, with Succession coming out on top with a total of 27 nods, followed by Pedro Pascal drama The Last Of Us.
Musical drama Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies was also among the programmes singled out for excellence by the body, earning two nominations.
But while the series, a prequel of the 1978 original film starring the late Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, could win twice for outstanding choreography for scripted programming, it’s no longer available on original home Paramount Plus – or any other streamer for that matter.
