The Crown Inn, Suffolk, review

This 16th century inn and Good Pub Guide staple is a countryside haven for foodies.

Read on to find out more about the best dishes on the menu and what the rooms are like.

The inn is nestled in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – otherwise known as Constable Country, after the famous painter.

It’s a stone’s throw from Lovejoy land, with Long Melford, Clare and Lavenham on the doorstep – the latter is one of the best preserved medieval villages in Britain, where the half-timbered cottages were the backdrop for Ian McShane’s hit BBC show.
