The couple helping developers turn VR ventures into reality

Many startups are born from much-loved side projects, and Belfast-based virtual reality (VR) content platform SideQuest is no exception.

SideQuest offers a place for developers to gather user feedback on new products destined for Meta’s Oculus Quest VR headset, or for glasses and headsets set to be released by Apple and Google. It is backed by both Google Ventures, Alphabet’s investment arm, and the creator of Meta’s headset, Oculus founder Palmer Luckey.

In 2018, Shane Harris, 36, was heading up technology operations at a startup in his home town of Belfast.
