The beautiful little town known for being a foodie haven

A small market town full of restaurants has been dubbed Yorkshire’s food capital. Malton in the North Yorkshire moors is crammed with amazing independent restaurants, which constantly receive accolades and praise. The town has everything from bakeries, coffee shops and breweries to delis, bistros and gelaterias. It also has a monthly food market with local producers. The title of Yorkshire ‘s food capital was reportedly created by the late Antonio Carluccio, Italian chef and restauranteur. Others have sung its praises. Great British Bake Off star  Prue Leith called it her favourite foodie town and the Financial Times said it was the ‘food haven of the north’.
