At 3.40am, the scared mum looked at her security cameras and saw a shadowy figure standing in the doorway of the kitchen. ( Kennedy News and Media) Thinking that someone had broken in, Amanda woke her husband Jeffrey Pitt, 34, who sprang up to see if there was an intruder but found the house empty except for the sleeping family. No signs of a break-in were found and nobody else had seen the figure but Ollie, the family's English Shepherd, appeared to be scared and was pacing up and down the kitchen. The incident on October 21 shook Amanda up so much she was unable to get back to sleep that night and turned on the TV to calm her down. Now Amanda says providing the spook doesn't cause any harm, the family will "live with it" until they're able to move. Amanda, from York County, Pennsylvania, US, said: "At about 3.40 in the morning I heard heavy walking up the stairs into the living room and then into the kitchen. "I made sure Jeffrey was still in bed because I thought it could be him. I checked on the camera and stared at it for a little bit because I thought I saw somebody.
