The world No 64 is set to lose all of his funding from the governing body and will be banned from using their coaches after being kicked out following a series of incidents this year, including an on-court fight at the Orleans Challenger.Moutet has often been a controversial figure on the ATP Tour, and has now been punished for his behaviour as his national tennis body has officially dropped him, according to L’Equipe. Confirming their decision, the French Tennis Federation said: ‘Corentin Moutet’s behaviour on the court does not correspond to the values that the FFT wants to transmit.’It comes just over a month after the 23-year-old was embroiled in an on-court fight with Adrian Andreev at the Open d’Orleans in France. The Frenchman suffered an upset defeat to the 21-year-old before the pair could be seen shoving each other and shouting. The altercation began during the handshake, which saw both men begin shoving each other and trading words before the umpire had to come down from his chair and attempt to separate them. Moutet then took to Instagram after the scrap to accuse the 21-year-old of threatening him. ‘I don’t want to apologise for what came late in the game,’ he said.JUST IN: Novak Djokovic warns Alcaraz over new challenge after becoming No 1 Corentin Moutet was fined following an on-court fight with Adrian Andreev (Image: Twitter @Imad__26)’When a player allows himself to say ‘f*** you’ twice looking at me in the eyes, I can’t help but make him understand in my own way that these are not things that happen. You applauded this player at the end of the match. Maybe for you these are things acceptable. Not for me. In any case he threatened me and told me, asked to wait for him at the exit of the court.’Moutet’s coach then defended his charge as he said that no locker room altercation took place following the 23-year-old’s claims that he did try to meet Andreev after the match but saw the world No 219 was ‘surrounded’ by security guards. The ATP investigated the incident and hit both men with hefty fines of £8,734 (€10,000) while Moutet received an additional £4,367 (€5,000) bill for his off-court behaviour after the incident.DON’T MISSDjokovic experience gives Nadal idea of juggling tennis and fatherhoodFelix Auger-Aliassime shushes Paris Masters crowd as fans wind up starMedvedev addresses fiery Paris outburst as he takes aim at umpire Corentin Moutet has lost all funding from the FFT (Image: Getty)
