 An 18-year-old man has died after an incident on a road in Manchester in the early hours of the morning. The teenager had suffered 'serious injuries' when he was discovered at around 5am on Booth Road in Trafford on Saturday. Police say they are 'working at pace' to establish the circumstances surrounding his sudden death. Emergency services rushed to the man's aid but he could not be saved. Forensic investigators have been pictured at the scene in Altrincham and road closures were in place for several hours. A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: 'Greater Manchester Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating an incident on Booth Road in Altrincham. 'At around 5am this morning (12 August 2023) an 18-year-old man was found in the road with serious injuries and despite best efforts of emergency services he tragically passed away at the scene. 'A cordon has been implemented and officers are working at pace to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death and are following up multiple lines of inquiry.' Police are also urging anyone with information about the incident to get in touch. The force added: 'Anyone with relevant information or footage – including CCTV, mobile or dashcam – is encouraged to get in touch.
