Taylor Swift thanks fans as she releases re-recorded Speak Now

Taylor Swift has released her re-recorded Speak Now (Image: Getty) Taylor Swift has thanked fans “a million times” after re-recording her 2010 album Speak Now. The chart-topper is attempting to re-record and release albums from her back catalogue in a bid to regain control of the master recordings, reports the PA news agency. She has already released “Taylor’s versions” of Fearless and Red. Writing on Twitter, she said: “It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20. ‘I remember making tracklist after tracklist, obsessing over the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs I am still unfailingly proud of now.’ Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) includes six previously unheard tracks ‘from the vault’. ‘For life, for you, for the fact that I get to reclaim my work. Thank you a million times, for the memories that break our fall. Speak Now (MY VERSION!) is out now,’ Swift wrote. Fans have welcomed the news. One social media user wrote: “Thank you so much. Tthis is my favorite album and I’m being flooded with so many memories.” While another added: “I’ve been waiting for this day.”
