Sussexes urged to ‘address negative press’ before launching next Netflix show

Meghan and Harry have been urged to ‘address’ their mistakes (Image: PA) Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been urged to “address negative press” prior to launching their next project. Recents reports claimed that the couple have acquired the “rights” to Carley Fortune’s best-selling novel, Meet Me At The Lake. The couple are reportedly wanting to bring the novel to the big screen, with plans to turn it into a production for Netflix . Penelope Banton, who is the Digital PR Lead at Embryo , has urged the couple to admit to their mistakes before they venture into the new project. The couple have reportedly paid £3 million for the rights to the novel, with it having captured the couple’s imaginations. Ms Banton told Express.co.uk : “My personal recommendation would be for them to address their negative press head-on and show that they are committed to drawing a line underneath the controversy in order to move forwards. “If they are to win back the hearts of the UK and US public, their next PR move will be vital to the success of ‘Meet Me at The Lake’.” She added: “They have polarised opinions and can’t simply pretend that never happened; they need to show humility and genuineness.” Speaking of the new project, the expert said that it will give the couple a chance to start fresh, and even gain some trust back. The news of Meghan and Harry’s latest project idea comes after a series of recent blows for the pair. Last month, Meghan and Harry’s lucrative multi-million-pound deal with Spotify came to an end. The couple had only released one project in the time that the deal was upheld – Meghan’s dozen-episode podcast series. The couple also suffered another damming blow last month when their Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan, failed to make the Emmy Award shortlist.
