NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
The last survivor to be pulled from the wreckage of the Croydon tram disaster has told how the ordeal left him ‘broken and scared’.
Stephen Kennedy, 31, had to have one of his arms amputated after it got trapped and has struggled to cope with survivor’s guilt.
He is one of 10 people who gave victim impact statements to the Old Bailey on Monday after Transport for London (TfL) and tram company TOL were convicted of health and safety failures over the 2016 crash.
Seven people died and 21 were badly injured when the tram toppled over on a sharp bend near the Sandilands stop.
