With that in mind, how could strikes affect your summer travel plans? Here's what you need to be aware of… What transport strikes are taking place in summer 2023? Rail strikes Currently no further rail strikes have been called, however an overtime ban by members of the Aslef union is set to run through until Saturday August 12. The ban has already been extended several times and more dates could be added to this, although nothing has been confirmed so far. More train strikes could impact the network in August although nothing has yet been confirmed (Picture: Rex Shutterstock) National Rail has confirmed that the following companies do not expect to be able to run a full timetable during this time. As with all cases, check before you travel as some trains may be cancelled or delayed, while in other cases the timetable may be amended altogether. While there are no further train strikes planned by RMT Union members these could be called at any time.
