SUELLA Braverman was investigated over allegations that she leaked sensitive details about the Northern Ireland protocol, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
The embattled Home Secretary was probed in May this year after details of a high level cabinet meeting were made public.
Although she was cleared it was the third time this year that Ms Braverman has been subject to an official Cabinet Office leak inquiry.
Several other Cabinet ministers were also investigated by the Propriety and Ethics team over the Northern Ireland leak, but they did not find out who the chatty rat was.
But one Whitehall insider alleged “all fingers pointed to Suella” after the leak promoted her hard-line Brexit credentials – but no evidence ever backed up those claims.
