 Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse's ex-husband is calling for her to face jail after she accused him of controlling behaviour. The South African raised professional dancer and reality show judge first appeared on German dance competition Let's Dance in 2011, before joining Strictly in 2019. From 2003, she was married to her dancing partner, Timo Kulczak, however they divorced after 11 years of marriage in 2014. But now, her ex-husband is suing Motsi, 42, after claims made against him in her autobiography. Motsi is being sued by Kulczak for £70,000 after she said he restricted her access to cash and even deciding what she ate while they were together. After she refused to settle the writ the case is now heading to court. The measure has been put in place as part of a 'cease and desist' clause in the writ. 'Ms Mabuse is refusing to pay, and so the court now has to decide,' his lawyer Samy Hammad told The Sun. 'All we just want her to do is to retract the untruths published about him, and to compensate him accordingly. 'My client's reputation has repeatedly been trashed.' In the memoir Finding My Own Rhythm: My Story Motsi said that during their 11-year marriage, Kulczak, 45, paid her an allowance from her dance teaching and TV earnings.
