Strictly Come Dancing fans have raised concerns about Bad Education star Layton Williams’ participation on the BBC One show given his extensive dancing experience
Strictly Come Dancing will be back in a matter of weeks – with BBC bosses looking to shake things up this series – but fans of the competition are all saying the same thing as the first four contestants have been revealed.
The four celebrities already confirmed for the 2023 series are journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy, broadcaster Angela Rippon, actress Amanda Abbington and Bad Education star Layton Williams as they are set to take to the famous dance floor for 21st series of the competition.
TV and theatre actor Layton, 28, has starred in several West End performances, such as Billy Elliot and Everyone’s Talking About Jamie. The talented star is also known for playing Stephen Carmichael in the Bad Education movie and recently rebooted series. Layton has also starred in Beautiful People, Benidorm, The Cleaner and I Hate Suzie.
Layton said of taking part: “Absolutely buzzing to confirm that I will be taking part in THE most iconic dance competition in the UK! It’s time to bring it to the Ballroom. So excited to learn new skills from the best. Bring on the sequins⦠ALL the sequins!”
