 Plans to host Strictly Come Dancing in Buckingham Palace have reportedly been shelved for a second time. This time last year it was revealed there were plans in plans to host an episode of the dancing series inside the walls of the place, however they couldn't quite come together. While it was said there was a possibility happening during this year's season, which will begin in September, it seems the idea has again been scuppered. Although King Charles and BBC bosses were said to be keen to stage an episode of the new series at the royal residence, the plans were put on the back burner due to the logistical issues involved. But after the death of Queen Elizabeth last year and the coronation a few months ago, the plans were again postponed. Sources at the BBC have confirmed it won't be happening, while royal sources added there'd been no 'falling out', as reported by the Daily Mail. During the pandemic, Camilla made a surprise appearance on a Strictly montage, where she thanked the show's cast and crew for lifting sprits. As the final of the popular dance show aired in 2020, the BBC shared a montage of fans expressing what it meant to them that Strictly returned to screens. Among them was Camilla, who shared a message to everyone involved in making the show, explaining she was 'very excited' to see who would take out the Glitterball Trophy. 'I'd like, on behalf of everyone who watches Strictly to say an enormous thank you to everybody, everybody who's been involved in this production in a particularly difficult year,' she said.
