Amanda, who starred in Sherlock with her former husband Martin Freeman, has previously been banned from Twitter three times and has been called a 'TERF' for some views that were shared on social media. She told BBC: 'After a three-time Twitter ban, I've learned not to be quite so visceral in my anger or upset, just sit on it for a bit.' 'I was hounded off Twitter and have repeatedly been accused of being a TERF [trans-exclusionary radical feminist] for simply wanting to have a dialogue about it. Because it isn't black and white,' she allegedly wrote on social media. According to the Daily Mail, she wrote this in response to TV screenwriter Graham Linehan, co-creator of Father Ted, who asked: 'What was the closest friendship you lost because of your beliefs?' on Facebook. 'As a general rule of thumb, if I'm going to tweet something that I think is quite inflammatory, I will write it and save it in my drafts,' she explained. This comes after Amanda tweeted that a drag baby sensory and cabaret show wasn't for young children in March. It wrote that it was 'abhorrent' and added 'if you think it is [for babies], there is something fundamentally wrong with you'.
