THE MET Office has issued amber weather warnings for the weekend as Storm Antoni is set to hit parts of the UK with heavy rain and strong winds.
Storm Antoni is predicted to hit southwest Wales and southwest England with a warning issued from 11am to 7pm on Saturday.
It warned that the storm “brings the potential for damaging gusts of wind” which could lead to injuries and “danger to life.”
There’s a possibility of “flying debris,” “large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties” which can risk safety.
The Met Office also warned of transport disruptions, some roads and bridges being closed and a “good chance” of power cuts.
