Sky customers can now access a popular Netflix rival for absolutely free

Sky customers can now get Lionsgate for free (Image: Mirror) Sky customers rejoice! You can now get access to another popular streaming service – and it won’t cost you a penny. It comes as many popular Sky bundles already have Netflix included but another streaming partner will soon join the fray.  That means you’ll be able to enjoy 100s of live channels, Netflix and all the shows included on Lionsgate+ for a great price.  And now might be one of the best times to invest in a Sky Stream package which gives you all the benefits of having live channels and TV – without the need to install a satellite.  The £26 Sky Stream package is one of the best Sky deals on the market right now and comes bundled in with Netflix as well – just after the streaming service cancelled its basic tier of pricing.  It comes with a Netflix Basic subscription with the brilliant Sky Stream set-top box (the latest hardware from Sky), a Basic Netflix subscription (previously available for £6.99 per month, but discontinued under the latest overhaul from Netflix), access to 500 on-demand boxsets from HBO and Sky Originals, like House of the Dragon, Succession, Euphoria, …And Just Like That, Game Of Thrones, Mare Of Eastown, Brassic, and many more.  Lionsgate (Image: Amazon) Lionsgate+ is a streaming service you may not have heard of, but we’ve got all the details you need to know.  It was launched in the UK and Ireland in October 2022. Its name comes from Lionsgate, the entertainment company that owns the service.  It doesn’t have a huge number of shows and movies like Netflix or Disney+ but it has several notable titles that you might have heard of.  These include Outlander, Power Book, The Great, Station Eleven including some major blockbuster movies.  It’s currently available on Android and iOS devices as well as on the Amazon Prime Video. Users can usually get a short free trial but then they will pay the monthly subscription price of £5.99.  Lionsgate+ arrived on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q as an app but now starting from July 28, existing (or new) Sky subscribers will be able to get three months of Lionsgate+ for free.  All Sky customers have to do is use their voice remote and say ‘Get Lionsgate Plus,’ or find and open the app in the apps rail, which will then start the process of setting up the app and the free trial.  Remember, you’ll have to pay £5.99 after the free trial is up.
