DEAR DEIDRE: MY sister can’t find it in her heart to be happy for me after I announced that I am pregnant with my second child.
I’m 29 and she is 33. We used to be so close while growing up, but over the years she’s become very critical of me and my parenting.
My new partner and I are expecting but, when we announced the good news, my sister didn’t even congratulate me.
Instead she said: “You can’t even look after your first child.”
I was so hurt by her comment. I had my first child at a young age and admittedly I’ve made some mistakes.
