Thiago Silva and Conor Gallagher vented their frustration during Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against Bournemouth as the Blues’ disappointing start to the Premier League season continued
Thiago Silva was left ‘furious’ with his Chelsea team-mates during their goalless draw at Bournemouth, while Conor Gallagher vented his annoyance at Enzo Fernandez.
It proved to be frustrating afternoon for the Blues as they were held on the south coast, despite hitting the woodwork and creating several clear-cut chances. Raheem Sterling went the closest when his free-kick crashed off the underside of the bar, while Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson were also guilty of missing opportunities.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, could have won it themselves but Dominic Solanke squandered their best effort, with the ex-Chelsea forward forcing Robert Sanchez into a smart save. The result leaves the Cherries still winless from their first five matches, having drawn three and lost two.
As for Chelsea, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have picked up just five points from a possible 15, having won once which came against newly-promoted Luton last month. During the trip to Bournemouth, a number of Chelsea players were not happy with their performance and particular patterns of play.
