The Glades shopping centre in Bromley, south London, has banned youngsters under the age of 16 unless they are with a parent after a brawl which hurt several police officers in April
Children have been banned from a shopping centre after a number of police officers were hurt in a brawl with a gang of youths earlier this year.
The Glades shopping centre in Bromley took the extreme stance following an incident in April in which four cops were injured when they attempted to disperse a large group of youths.
Under the new rules children under 16 will not be able to enter from Friday, July 28, unless accompanied by an adult.
Schools were sent a letter explaining the move last week.
