SIR Keir Starmer kicked off a major shake-up of his top team this morning, firing weak shadow ministers in anticipation of a brutal general election show down next year.
Deputy Labour Leader Angela Rayner was moved to replace Lisa Nandy as Shadow Levelling Up Secretary.
She’ll now face Tory counterpart Michael Gove in the Commons and leave behind her Shadow Cabinet Office brief.
Shadow Environment Secretary Jim McMahon, widely viewed as a poor performer, was first in Sir Keir’s savage firing line.
