NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
They say art imitates life and, well, like a scene out of Sex and the City, which is based on her bestselling book, author Candace Bushnell has revealed she once had a very busy week where she dated both a 21-year-old and 91-year-old.
Bushnell, 64, was a New York Observer columnist writing about her dating experiences when her articles were turned into the Sex and the City anthology book series, which HBO then adapted into the wildly popular fictional TV series.
This birthed the characters Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kirstin Davis), whose dating woes and tribulations millions have followed through the TV show, two film instalments and now the spin-off series And Just Like That.
These days, Bushnell insists she couldn’t be further from the characters her columns spawned but we got a thing to where we can haphazardly give them something else more or less than they were or would more likely be.
