SERGIO RAMOS may not have the warm welcome back to Sevilla that many football fans would expect.
The club’s Ultras have released a statement condemning the signing and slamming the hierarchy for making it happen.
Ramos has re-joined Sevilla on a one-year deal after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on the expiry of his contract this summer.
And it would seem as if the move is a footballing fairy tale with the 37-year-old spending his formative years with Los Nervionenses as well being born and bred in Seville too.
But despite the idea of a World Cup winning hero returning to his boyhood club to see out his days and help them return to their former glory sounding perfect – that is not the case in Ramos’ situation.
