Deputy Conservative chairman says those unhappy with conditions at the Bibby Stockholm barge should leave or ‘better not come at all’
Deputy Tory chairman Lee Anderson has said migrants complaining about the Bibby Stockholm barge should “f— off back to France”.
The controversial MP for Ashfield said those unhappy with the conditions in Britain should leave, or “better not come at all in the first place”.
His “salty” comments were defended by Alex Chalk, the Justice Secretary, who insisted people crossing to the UK cannot pick and choose between four-star hotels and the vessel berthed in a Dorset port.
It comes as 20 migrants are refusing to transfer to the Bibby Stockholm barge in Portland, near Weymouth, on the basis that it is inhumane to move them.
