"Nuria was the light of our lives. She embodied joy, kindness and generosity and she was loved by all around her. 'We would like to thank the efforts of the emergency services, all the extraordinary staff at St George's Hospital, the parents of Nuria's class fellows and staff of the Study Prep for all they have done to ease Nuria's journey. 'We request that our privacy is respected at this difficult time.' The other girl killed in the cash was named earlier as eight-year-old Selena Lau . Her family said: "Selena was an intelligent and cheeky girl adored and loved by everyone. "The family wishes their privacy to be respected at this sad time." An eight-year-old girl and a woman in her forties remain in hospital in critical condition. A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving - and has since been released on bail . This afternoon young pals of Selena left heartbreaking tributes at the scene. One note in children's handwriting reads: "Dear Selena, I will always think of you. I will miss you so much. "I miss you. I will never forget you." Detective Chief Superintendent Clair Kelland choked back tears as she revealed the tragic news . She said: "We were called shortly before 10 o'clock this morning after a car collided with a building at The Study Preparatory School, behind me in Camp Road. "A large number of our officers were deployed to the scene, along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and Londo){kind=link}
A SECOND schoolgirl has died after a Land Rover crashed into a tea party.
Nuria Sajjad, 8, died of her injuries after she was left critical following the horror smash in Wimbledon, south west London, on Thursday.
She is the second youngster to die after the crash, which killed eight-year-old Selena Lau.
Nuria’s family payed tribute to the “light of their lives”.
In a statement shared through Met Police, the relatives said: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Nuria on Sunday, 9 July 2023.
