Second delayed CalMac ferry named Glen Rosa after public vote

The second delayed ferry being built for CalMac by the Ferguson Marine shipyard will be named MV Glen Rosa following a landslide win in a public vote.

The vessel, which until now has only been known as Hull 802, is expected to be delivered between October and December 2023 but will require months of further work before it can be launched.

CMAL, the body which owns CalMac vessels as well as the port and harbour infrastructure, announced the name after a public vote in which nearly 5,000 people took part.
